Transposing the Shock of Trauma
In this rearranged version of The Shock of Trauma, the felt sense of both drawing and body has shifted from terror, to a vulnerable, perturbed grief. This version reminds me of a distant vantage point or topographical map, that is trying to orient to the trauma realm. Here the unresolved space relates to an unsettled emptiness, while the disjointed strips illicit a surreal altered consciousness, which often accompanies a shattering event.
